Finding food for your kids to eat can be hard. It can be very frustrating to spend a lot of time and money on making and planning a meal for your kids to push it away or just pick over it.
They love to say, “I don’t like this!”, “What is this?”, “This is nasty!”, or “I’m not hungry!”.
While you are sitting there saying, “You haven’t even tried it!”, “Just take a bite!”, “How do you know you don’t like it you haven’t done anything but play with it!”, or “Too bad, this is what is for dinner so eat it or go hungry!”
Yes, we have all had these conversations at some point or time with our little darlings. But today I am going to give you some ideas that your kids will love and will allow you to still be frugal.
Chicken Snack Wraps
What kid doesn’t love something they can eat with their hands. Get a soft tortilla shell, add some ranch dressing, chicken strips, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Roll it up and you are ready to serve it.
French Toast Roll-ups
Search this on pinterest but it is super simple and even the kids will love helping make these.
Get a bag of doritos or your favorite individual bag of chips, crush up the chips inside the bag, add your taco meat, lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, and lettuce and you have a kid friendly meal. The kids will love eating out of a chip bag and you will win on the clean up side. 🙂
Threaded Spaghetti Hot Dog Bites
Cut up your hot dogs, thread the spaghetti through the hot dogs (5-7 half pieces in each), cook, drain and serve.
Grilled Cheese Roll-ups
These are very easy and similar to the french toast roll ups only with cheese.
French Bread Pizzas
All you need is some french bread, pizza toppings, cheese, and bake them. It is easy to hold and they can make them with you which always makes eating more fun for them.
Baked Sloppy Joe Cups
Who doesn’t like sloppy joes? Prepare your meat. Use refrigerated biscuit dough and press 1 in the bottom and up the sides of a muffin tin. Place your meat in the cup and bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Add cheese and serve.
