Are you tired of the old play-dough drying out?
As a mom of 5, I can relate.
Play-dough can be a great toy and tool. It can be used for play, teach, entertain, and create.
I just love this play-dough recipe and feel good that is is all natural products instead of wondering what is in it. If my kids or dogs eat it I feel confident that it won’t hurt them.
This recipe for Homemade Play-dough will only take about 5 minutes to make and then 5 minutes to cook then let the fun begin.
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup water
-Mix the flour, salt, oil, lemon juice, and water in a pot.
-place on medium heat and stir until it forms a stiff ball
-remove from heat and place on parchment paper to cool
-when cool enough to touch begin to knead the dough
-divide the play-dough and add food coloring
-knead until you get the color you want and it is throughout the dough
Time for Fun
Now get the cookie cutters or play-dough toys and get to playing.

- practice colors
- practice counting
- make snakes
- practice cutting
- add and subtract
- match the colors
You can play for hours with play-dough. Have fun and just be a kid again. I tend to have the most fun with my kids when I don’t worry about the mess, I just have fun like I am a kid again.
