It’s football season! You know what that means? Every excuse to stuff your face with chicken wings. When you’re planning on feeding the masses with 5 different types of wings, let me help ease your troubles by showing you how to make at least one of those flavors in your slow cooker.
Cooking wings in the slow cooker makes the meat oh so tender and allows them to fall off the bone with ease. Not only that, but the honey and soy sauce make the perfect glaze that sticks ever so nicely on the chicken wings and doesn’t end up all over your face. Serve with the traditional carrots and celery and your choice of dip to complete this meal. Enjoy!
Equipment
- 1 Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 4 lbs chicken wings
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tsp water
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Put the chicken wings into crock pot. Combine honey, soy sauce, remaining oil, and garlic in medium bowl. Whisk in tomato sauce, water, sugar, and pepper.
- Pour sauce over chicken wings. Cover. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
Can you please explain what “remaining oil” means?
