The Perfect Banana Bread

I don’t want to toot my own horn, but this is the best banana bread recipe you will ever make. Hands down. This banana bread will help you win friends and influence people because of how good it is so try it out!

With this recipe start with creaming your butter and sugar. When I cream my butter and sugar I like to cream it for a long time. My philosophy is, “The longer you cream it, the better it tastes.” It makes your baked goods so much more delicious and, I feel, it is an essential part to making this the perfect banana bread recipe.

After you’ve creamed your sugar and butter begin adding your eggs one at a time. Be sure you turn your mixer off when adding them because there is always a chance you’ll drop the shell and I guarantee you do not want crunchy banana bread. Add your flour, baking soda, salt and mix just until it comes together. You can overmix your batter so don’t do it!

Finally, add your mashed bananas and vanilla. I always lean to adding more vanilla because it simply tastes delicious. It is up to you though. Also, you can choose to fold in nuts at this point. I love nuts in my banana bread, but my sister hates them. So whatever crow you’re trying to appease add or don’t add the nuts.

Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and cook for about an hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I usually check it at 45 minutes, give it a switcheroo, and cook for the remaining 15 minutes.

Let your banana bread cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting into it. I promise if you resist the urge to dive into it immediately you will be rewarded. Enjoy!
